On Monday the rain finally relented to allow Upper Broughton to play Long Clawson in the Belvoir Cup semi-final.

Clawson batted first and struggled against the Broughton attack as Burton (2 for 15), Stevenson (3 for 22) and Scott Mooney (4 for 31) bowled them out for 85 with Mike Roberts (21 not out), Heathcote (17) and Lewis (10) top scoring.

In reply, Broughton struggled even more against the excellent bowling of Backer (2 for 12) and Cleal (2 for 14).

Despite 18 from Dale Radford and 11 from Scott Mooney, Broughton slipped to 62 all out with Lumb (3 for 18) and Roberts (3 for 11) finishing things off.
