Parked on double yellow lines, blocking the pavement in Melton, with a ticket on the windscreen – and now seized by police

Following checks, it turned out that the car also had no insurance.

"To top it off, there was already a parking ticket proudly displayed on the windscreen," said Melton Police.

"As a result, the vehicle was seized for causing a dangerous obstruction, and the insurance situation will also need rectifying before any reunion between owner and vehicle can take place.

"A gentle reminder that pavements are for pedestrians, double yellow lines mean "don't park here", and insurance isn't an optional extra."
