Wymeswold back to winning ways in Syston & District Skittle League
Unbeaten away run extended to 22 games
Wymeswold got back to winning ways in the Syston & District Skittle League after last week's setback with a comfortable 3-1 win away to Sileby.

Wide margin victories quickly established a 2-0 lead and the win was secured when chasing down the home side's 30 in the third leg.
Sileby rallied and managed to gain consolation in the final leg with last man Steve Taggart finding the six pins needed to get them home by just one pin.
The win enabled Wymeswold to retain top spot and extended their unbeaten away run to 22 matches.
Darren Wagg for the visitors was once again in excellent form with 27 while Mark Boettcher's 24 was the highlight for the home team.
Syston Cons B made it three wins from three with a last gasp3-1 victory over visitors Syston Social Club.
Despite missing several regulars, the visitors managed to snatch the first leg off the final ball and establish an early lead.
Syston Cons then hit back with two 30+ legs to gain a 2-1 advantage going into the final leg where they made heavy weather of chasing down a below par 25 from the visitors leaving last man, Chris Buxton, needing six to tie and seven to win.
The game ultimately went to the final ball of the night where the three pins saw the home side prevail by just one pin to secure the 3-1 victory that leaves them one point behind the leaders Wymeswold but with a game in hand.
Dave Clark continued his fine early season form for the Cons with 26 while Knut Heinemann-Wooster top-scored for the Social Club once again with 21.
Top House made it two away wins from two this season and stretched their overall away record to seven games unbeaten with a 3-1 victory at Barrow.
In a low-scoring affair, the first two legs were shared before the visitors barely scraped home in the third leg after being asked to chase a lowly target of just 16 pins before another sub-par total of 24 in the final leg proved beyond the Barrow Cons side to set up the 3-1 scoreline for the visitors.
Bob Holmes top-scored for the visitors with 19 while Scott Price's 18 proved the highlight for the home side. The defeat extended Barrow's winless streak at home to nine games.
A 'game of two halves' at the Horse & Groom, saw Queniborough as the visitors raced into a 2-0 lead against the previously unbeaten home side with an excellent second leg of 35 underlining their early superiority.
However, the visitors ran out of steam at that point with the home side pulling it back to 2-1 before chasing down a below par leg of 20 to secure the draw and retain their unbeaten record at the start of the season with a 2-2 result.
Colin Pembleton top-scored for Queniborough with 22 while Nigel Hough's 21 was the highlight for the visitors.
The fightback means Queniborough sit third in the table just a point and a half behind the leaders Wymeswold with a game in hand with the two clubs set to meet next.
