New trial bus service to operate for people living in the Bottesford area
A new bus service is to be trialled to take passengers between Bottesford and Bingham to fill a gap in the current timetables.
The LC19, which will start running from Monday October 26, is a free service and will operate between 10am and 2pm using Leicestershire County Council’s in-house fleet vehicles.

It is being introduced as a response to feedback received through County Hall’s passenger transport network review, which was carried out between January 2025 until early this year.
The new service is one of four to be trialled in the county, funded through government money, to provide more travel opportunities for communities where residents have highlighted a need for better public transport connections.
The other three trial services are LC18 - Diseworth to Loughborough, LC20 – Blaby to Narborough to South Wigston and LC21 - Blaby to Hinckley.
Councillor Andrew Hamilton-Gray, cabinet member for highways and transport at the county council, said: "We know how important local bus services are to help people stay connected to the places they need to go.
"These new trial services have been developed in response to feedback from residents and communities, who told us where there were gaps in the current network.
"By introducing these routes, we are testing new ways of improving local transport links and making it easier for people to access key destinations.
"We're pleased to be able to offer these services free of charge during the trial period and encourage residents to give them a try."
The council is keen to hear from residents who feel there are gaps in their local bus provision.
