Starlight Night family event returns to village near Melton this weekend

Back for the first time since COVID, the much-loved event invites families to take part in a fun-filled evening at Waltham church on Saturday, October 31, from 4pm to 6pm, with doors opening at 3.50pm.

The dress theme for the evening is “Stars – think sparkly, not spooky!”, with families encouraged to "embrace the theme with glitter, sparkle and star-inspired outfits".

The event is being organised to raise funds for Waltham on the Wolds school and pre-school, with all profits going back to support both.

A spokesperson for the event said: "With a magical starry theme, the event promises an enjoyable evening for children and families, featuring crafts and activities, a pumpkin competition, a chocolate tombola, a raffle and stalls.

"Come along for an evening of sparkle, creativity and family fun while supporting the school and pre-school community!"

Each child’s £5 ticket includes a hot dog and a drink. Children aged 0–11 are welcome, with under-twos admitted free. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets must be purchased by Tuesday, October 27. To book tickets, please contact Christine on 07712 467233 or Laura on 07538 745367.

Payment can be made by cash or BACS.
