On Saturday, February 13 there will be an open day/recruitment event held at Phoenix House on Nottingham Road from 11am to 3pm. Any potential candidates should contact Me & My Learning on (01664) 502389 to book a place. To be accepted onto the course candidates will be asked to put together a personal statement that includes why they want to work at K S Composites and what attributes they have (this can be hand written, typed or a video – whatever the candidate feels comfortable with). Candidates will be asked to either email this to [email protected] or drop it in to Me & My Learning before the open day event.

The five-week course, to take place a Phoenix House, is fully funded and will enable candidates to get interview ready for K S Composites.

Ben Swain, K S Composites business development manager, said: “Over the next few years we’re looking to create at least 40 new roles and we’ll be looking to make a number of appointments this year. We took on about 10 new trainees last year and will be looking to do something similar this year.

“For this particular campaign we’re looking to fill non-typical factory floor roles in precision manufacturing but there could also be more senior and professional roles. The factory floor roles can open the door to huge opportunities for progression.”

The work skills course starts on Monday, February 22 and will run weekly on a Monday from 6pm to 9pm.

This opportunity is open to all Melton Mowbray residents aged over 19 who are currently employed or unemployed.

The potential candidates do not necessarily need previous experience in a similar role as training is provided should a job offer be made. This would particularly suit individuals who are methodical, have an eye for detail, can work from instructions and are passionate and enthusiastic about their work.
