Pupils and teachers at St Francis Catholic Primary School celebrate World Book Day together

Children at St Francis Catholic Primary School dressed up in some fantastic costumes on Thursday to celebrate World Book Day.

The school was filled with Harry Potters, Annies and Snow Whites, characters from well-known fictional books. Not to be out done by the children, members of staff chose the book 101 Dalmatians as their dressing up theme.

Whilst there were not quite 101 dogs the staff’s efforts caused quite a stir amongst parents and pupils at the start of the school day.

The school also held a ‘best outfit’ competition with the lucky winners being awarded books and book tokens. Congratulations go to Taylor, Faye, Fabian, Paige, Sam, Alexandra, Nadia, Alex, Oliver and Sinead.
