Wymeswold Cons maintained their 100% start to the season with a comfortable 3-1 victory at home versus Queniborough Wanderers.

The home side quickly established a 3-0 lead before the visitors scraped home in the final Leg by just one pin to grab a consolation. Gaz Williamson top scored for Wymeswold with an excellent 25. Wymeswold's unbeaten home run now extends to 15 matches.

Syston Cons B found the consistency they've been searching for since the start of the season when posting four 30+ Legs in their 3-1 win at the Syston Social Club .. in contrast, the home side struggled to post a challenging total until grabbing a consolation when chasing down their target of 32 in the final Leg. Dave Clark returned to form with an excellent 26 for the visitors .. the win allowed the visitors to leapfrog their opponents and move up to second place in the League.

Top House and the Carington Arms played out a 2-2 draw on yet another night of low scoring at the Top House alley. It is now seven games since any side managed a four leg total over 100 and 12 games since the home side managed three figures. The numbers suggest its reputation as one of the toughest scoring alleys in the League is well earned.

The home side's opening Leg 33 proved the high point of the night as the visitors then recovered to lead 2-1 despite Legs of just 22 & 21. Top House however ensured the points were shared when taking the final Leg after being asked to chase down another low target of just 15 pins.

Carington Cons and Barrow Cons also shared the points after a 2-2 draw at the Melton British Legion. The home side took an early lead before the visitors responded and went in front with two exceptional 34 Legs. Carington rallied and did well to secure the draw by chasing down 27 in the final Leg despite the inclusion of a nought on the scorecard. Daz Wright with 25 and Scott Price with 24 were the stand-out performers on the night for the visitors.
