Good-sized carp allow Nicholls to dominate Lake View Vets match

Fishing maggot and corn he kept the good sized carp coming and, despite losing some, he took the match from peg 14 with 95lbs, and also bagged the silver peg money.

Roy Toulson found 48lbs was enough to take his section.

Weights were down on Serpent, where Pete Sisson won his section with 27lbs, Tony Maddock his section with 31lbs and Steve Beckhurst his with 29lbs.

This was the last Summer League match and the final will be held on Wednesday.

Last Wednesday’s round saw Micky West take the match with 67lbs from River peg 20.

Brian Nicholls was second on the lake from peg 10 with 54lbs and third was Pete Cliffe on peg 18 with 40lbs.

On Stream it was Martin Quilter who took the lake with 56lbs.

Gary Smith had 40lbs for second on the lake and Roy Toulson took the other section with just 26lbs.

On Serpent, Roger Marlow took his section with 45lbs, Dirk Williams winning his section with 39lbs, ahead of John Cooke with 38lbs.
