Church claims Trophy victory

Winner of the individual stableford was Alan Church with 42 points, second with 40 points Phil Hewes and third with 38 points was Howard Ludbrook.

Church leapt into the lead with 110 points from three rounds, with Barry Mitchell is second with 108 and Ray Elsome third on 101

Earlier in the week, 26 Stoke Seniors played their annual Medal competition.

The course was in fantastic condition and the winner with a great score of 79-14 net 65 was Keith Dugmore, ahead of Alex Whitelaw (90-22 net 68) in second and Graham Manton (84-15 net 69) in third on countback.

Thirteen teams took part in Stoke Rochford Seniors best two from three stableford competition.

The winners with 86 points were Don Pennycook, Adrian Stannard and Barry Mitchell.

In second place were Brian Keightley, Reg Hughes and Barry Gaunt with 81 points.
