Lake View: Winning double for Greenbury

With the two-day final for the Middy Adrenaline Baits Summer Series looming, two more anglers booked their place at Lake View Fishery last week.

Scott Robinson came in second in a 24-man field at last Wednesday’s qualifier to get through to the showpiece match, a position matched by Danny Higgins in Saturday’s penultimate qualifying match.

The matches were both won on canal, by Bob Greenbury and Rich Bonson, both of whom had already booked their places, with winning weights of 90lb and 93lb respectively.

Lake View also hosted a special two-day bank holiday match on Sunday and Monday, with Ken Daws on top form.

Daws won match one on Sunday, taking the week’s biggest match weight of almost 115lb from river peg 20.

He then finished runner-up the following day to Brian Greenbury who collected his second win in five days with 107lb.
