Lake View: Weed and Wake secure Summer Series spots

A field of 18 turned out to fish the first match in the series, and a further 16 fished match two on Saturday with Nick Weed, from Kettering, and Notts angler Jon Wake the first to qualify for the final on the weekend of September 9 and 10.

David Breakwell topped an 11-man field to win the latest Sunday Open.

He fished hard pellet from peg 19 on the serpent before changing to soft pellet for the last hour to wrap up a commanding win, finishing almost 25lb clear of his nearest challenger Steve Haywood.
