Lake View: Rich nets £2,000 after Summer Series final victory

Rich Bonson took home the £2,000 top prize after winning the two-day Middy Adrenaline Baits Summer Final at Lake View Fishery last weekend.

He finished second on Saturday with a weight of 70lb on Saturday, just a pound behind day one leader Danny Higgins, and then topped a 50-man field on Sunday with 92lb - just ounces ahead of runner-up Brian Greenbury.

In the overall standings, Bonson’s aggregate weight of 163lb left him 15lb clear of Greenbury who earned £300, while Steve Reid won £200 for finishing third with 133lb 8oz.

Tom Pringle took £150 for forth place with 122lb 9oz, and Mark Bower (121lb 4oz) took the final payout position for £125.

Chris Randall was the youngest angler to qualify for the final and was just off a section win with 54lb 4oz from peg 20 off stream, .

But there was some consolation when Chris’ raffle ticket was drawn to win a Middy Muscle-Tech 1150 Precision Carp 11.5m Package.

Canal, river, stream, marina, and lagoon lakes were used for the final, sponsored by Middy Match Range.
