Hamilton Tennis Club: Tennis Leicestershire Awards evening

Laura Morley, Jess Gadsby, Di Burdett, Charlie Griffin and Sibella Chew were there to represent the club, while team-mates Amelia Coltman, Georgie Ashmore and Corrine Blythe were unable to attend, but played a large part in claiming the title.

* Hamilton’s junior teams are completing their Winter League fixtures and the best result came from the under 8s B team of Oliver Spencer, Hannah Richardson, Thomas Rose and Louis Grevatte.

They won a very close match against Hinckley A 9-7. Louis had four wins, Thomas three, and Oliver and Hannah had one each.

The under 8s A team of Frazer Jackson, Oliver Brown, Jack Skailes and Catlin Corah lost 12-4 to Leicestershire with two wins each from Frazer and Jack.

There was a narrow 4-2 defeat for the under 9s B team of Danny Kettle and Ella Fairbrother against Carisbrooke C with Danny winning his singles match.

The under 12s boys A team of James Roberts and Oliver Roberts lost 6-0 to Gynsill despite two very close singles matches.
