Hide AdHe did a fine job, showing maturity beyond his years, and the pay-off was a well-deserved win by eight tries to three in the opening match. Baxter and Beech were also a great combination and Sharp provided tight support.
Clemons was a stand-out player for the second of the three teams, and in the third team, Gormley was on fine form as usual, bravely shrugging off a knock to the arm to cut holes through the opposition’s defence.
The players were on top form and are looking forward to their derby meeting with local rivals Syston on Sunday.
