Sports arranged a friendly with Ashby Ivanhoe at Welby Road on Wednesday evening to sharpen match fitness, having last played a competitive fixture on Tuesday, February 21 – the 7-1 win against Ellistown and Ibstock.

This coming Saturday, John Webster’s side are due to host a mid-table clash with Arnold Town who sit a place and two points below Holwell in 12th. Kick-off at Welby Road is 3pm.

Both of Holwell’s junior sides were also out of luck last weekend with the reserves’ Senior League home clash with FC Khalsa GTB, and the Development Squad’s North Leicestershire League fixture against Dunton and Broughton Reserves, both rained off.
