The club will host the fixture on Saturday, September 24 at their All England Ground home when they take on a Select XI from local clubs.

Jon, a talented all-rounder, died tragically at the age of 32 on September 13 last year following a match-winning performance for Melton in the last game of the season.

Melton will be captained by Jon’s brother Ryan in a 20-over match which is planned to start at 2pm.

As well as the cricket match, there will be a barbecue, cake sales, games, raffles and refreshments.

Jon’s family would like any funds raised to be divided between the Kidney Trust Foundation, and to support, encourage and enable youth players to enjoy and participate in cricket.

Everyone is welcome to go along and celebrate Jon’s life.
