Pedestrian injured in collision with lorry in Melton

A pedestrian was injured in a collision with a lorry on Norman Way in Melton on Friday night (January 29).

A Leicestershire Police spokeswoman said: “The man was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.”

The collision happened at about 8.30pm at the junction with Chapel Street. Norman Way was closed between Chapel Street and Kings Road while emergency services attended the scene. The road was re-opened by around 1.40am on Saturday.
