Car extensively damaged by fire at Syston

Firefighters were called out to deal with a blazing car in Syston last night (Wednesday).

The vehicle was reported on fire in Glebe Way at 7.23 and a crew from Birstall attended the scene.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said 50 per cent of the vehicle suffered fire damage and the cause was believed to be mechanical failure.
