Packed schedule of August walks lined up for Melton Mowbray Ramblers
Members of Melton Mowbray Ramblers have a packed schedule of walks lined up for August.
First up, on Saturday August 1, the groups heads to Empingham for a ramble over eight miles – meet at Empingham Church (LE15 8PN) on Church Street at 9.30am and bring a picnic.
On Wednesday August 5, they will be at Denton for a four-mile walk. Meet at the bottom of Main Street junction (Belvoir Road - NG32 1LD) at 10am.
Hallaton is the destination on Saturday August 8 with a ramble over 10 miles. Meet outside the church (LE16 8TY), on Churchgate, at 9.30am, and bring a picnic.
Next up is Branston, on Wednesday August 12, over five miles. Meet outside The Wheel Inn (NG32 1RU) at 6.30pm.
Tilton on the Hill will be the meeting place on Saturday August 15 – this will be a 7.5-mile ramble after gathering at the church (LE7 9LF) at 9.30am. Bring a picnic.
On Wednesday August 19, it will be Wymondham over five miles, meet outside The Berkeley Arms (LE14 2AG) at 10am.
Burrough Court is the destination on Saturday August 22 for a 10-miler – please meet at Burrough Court (LE14 2QS) at 9.30am and bring a picnic.
The group will be walking for five miles in Melton Mowbray on Wednesday August 26 – gather outside The Boat Inn on Burton Street (LE13 1AF) at 6.30pm.
The month is rounded off at Ridlington on Saturday August 29 with a ramble over nine miles. Members should park and meet on Top Road (LE15 9AX) at 9.30am with a picnic.
