Large crowds expected at third annual Harby Fete

The Harby Fete at the village hall and on the Leys takes place on Saturday, with the proceeds once again going towards the upkeep of the village hall.

The event prides itself on providing entertainment for the whole family.

Georgina Steward, helping to organise the event, said: “It’s our third year holding this event and we hope for it to be bigger and better each year.

“We will have entertainment throughout the afternoon from 12noon until late.”

Its programme of activities features a dog show, live music, food stalls and children’s games.

Other attractions include performances from Harby Primary School Choir, Belvoir Dance Academy and the Bevoir Big Band, a sponsored head shave, face painting, a bar serving real ales, a barbecue, a sweet and cake stand and refreshments.

Admission is free and there is parking available on site.
