High Peak based singer-songwriter Hannah Brine is playing a gig at the Quorn Village Hall on Sunday 8th February at 7pm as part of the Live and Local Community Touring Scheme. The evening will include some of Hannah’s original songs as well as some much loved jazz standards.

Hannah is a jazz singer-songwriter known for her warm, expressive voice and finely crafted songs rooted in the jazz tradition, with a voice & song writing style likened to Melody Gardot, Norah Jones and Rumer. Hannah writes & performs lush ballads & lively jazz anthems, telling tales of growth & change, of life & loss. Originally from Leicester, Hannah grew up singing in local choirs and bands, as well as founding community choir Fosse Singers, before developing her distinctive sound as a performer and writer.

Hannah said “I’m really looking forward to performing in Quorn — live music and appreciative audiences are very much my happy place, and I'm delighted to be joined for this gig by George King on piano, who's a truly wonderful musician. Music has the unique power to connect us and lift us away from our everyday concerns. At a time when connection feels like it matters more than ever, coming together for a gig feels really special."

2025 was a busy year for Hannah - she released her debut album “Blue Sky Now”, generating airplay on BBC Radio London as well as many local BBC Introducing plays around the country. The album received great reviews, highlighting Hannah’s serene velvety vocals, and how she captured the emotional gradients of each syllable, giving the world her valuable point of view, creating a listening experience akin to “eavesdropping on the long-ago”.

Hannah toured “Blue Sky Now” extensively throughout 2025, performing at over thirty venues across the UK. Highlights included Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall, Buxton Opera House (where she supported Rumer), and some of London’s most renowned jazz venues, including The Pheasantry & the 606 Club.

A prolific songwriter, Hannah’s recent credits include a song featured in a BBC Radio 4 drama, Cyprus’ entry for the 2025 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and a number one dance record. In 2026, she is planning on returning to the studio to record new material.
