Makins-Radford kept up his good run and, following his super win at Northampton, he reached the semi final of the Grade 4 Gynsill tournament and then claimed a share of the title at the Grade 6 Greenfields tournament.

Junior County Champion 15-year-old Harrison Culpan followed up his terrific win at the Queens Club with a semi-final spot at a Men’s Grade 3 tournament at the Solihull Tennis Club.

Head coach Di Burdett and club coach and Men’s team captain Ryan Parmar are delighted with the steady improvement within the junior and senior ranks.

In the adult section the Mixed teams are reaching the end of their fixtures with promotion and relegation still an option for many clubs in the county.

On the social side the Saturday Superstars are still battling out with players striving to win the coveted title of Annual winners, and with just a few weeks to go both squads led by Joe Cunningham and Neil Ingle, still in with a chance of scooping the bragging rights.

Club coach Brent Horobin is delighted with how the competition is going and said: "I am certain that the competition is going down to the wire.

"This group of players are tremendously competitive, but are all such good friends that makes it a super atmosphere for all involved or anyone new who comes along."
