First day at school in Thrussington

It was an exciting day for the children starting primary school in the village of Thrussington.

These are the youngsters in the Early Years Foundation Stage class at Thrussington School.

A school spokesperson said: “The children are all looking forward to an exciting year of learning, making new friends and going on some wonderful adventures.”

Headteacher Mr Ward said being a small village school enabled it ‘to take a truly holistic approach to education ensuring that each child is known as an individual’.
