Going dotty for Children in Need

Ahead of this year's Children in Need Appeal schools across the Melton Borough are gearing up to support the charity tomorrow.

The Big Spotacular, is encouraging children and teachers to dress up in spots, sell spotty cakes and goods, and take part in spotty themed challenges, to raise more money than ever before for disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

As part of the campaign St Mary’s Primary School is baking and selling cakes and dressing up spotty whilst Swallowdale Primary School is holding a coffee day.

At John Ferneley College there will be LIPSYNC battle, staff versus student basketball match and students will be walking Everest on treadmills.

Asfordby Hill Primary School have planned a superhero dress up day and a sponsored wellie walk and at Frisby Primary School pupils plan to make Pudsey out of coins on the playground.
