League Winners, Wymeswold Cons, met second placed Syston Cons B in their final League match this season and came away with an emphatic 4-0 victory.

On a night when nothing went right for the home side, the visitors got off to a great start and quickly found themselves 2-0 ahead.

A rather dispirited Syston Cons side fell away in the 3rd leg with the visitors easily wrapping up the win on the night. Wymeswold underlined their dominance with another excellent 4th leg which the home side were unable to match. The consistency of the League Champions was borne out by all six players scoring 20 or more and contributing to the highest four leg aggregate of the season with 137 pins.

Wymeswold had invoked the "Lowest Scorer" rule on the night and the fact that it proved to be the highest scorer with 26 pins further emphasised that this was a night to forget for the home side who suffered their first 4-0 whitewash in over six years. Ian Merryweather rounded off a fine season by once again proving the top "individual" scorer with 25.

Carington Cons recent winning run came to an end as they recorded their fifth draw of the season when sharing the points with visiting Sileby WMC. The away side managed to pinch the opening leg by 1 pin to edge ahead before Carington hit back to lead 2-1. However, Sileby's 25 in the final leg proved beyond the home side and saw the vistors gain a well-earned draw. Sileby's John Dilkes was the top scorer on the night with 21 pins.

Despite losing the opening leg, Syston Social Club came away from a visit to Barrow Cons with a convincing 3-1 victory. This was Syston's sixth win from nine games on the road this season with just one defeat away from their home alley. The away side quickly made amends for the opening leg and comfortably outscored their opponents for the remainder of the game. Ken Renshaw and Clarke Anderson top scored for the visitors with 21 apiece.

Carington Arms came from 2-0 down to share the points away to Queniborough Wanderers. Having struggled in the opening two legs, the visitors responded with two excellent legs as both sides recorded their fifth draws of the season. Mick Reed top scored for the home side with 22 while Carington stalwart "Hutch" proved their top scorer with an excellent 23.
