Victory for Hamilton TC Ladies

Summer league tennis has begun and Hamilton’s Ladies’ Second team were first off the mark when they travelled to Charnwood clinching a 6-3 victory over the Fifth team.

Margaret Shufflebotham and Polly Dolby won all three sets. Nicky Herbert and Dee Hughes took two sets while Chris Stevens and Jo Draper-Moore won one.

The Men’s Third team of Selwyn Carter and Jon Dyson, Joe Cunningham and Richard Evans and Graham Hall with Ian Scotland lost 8-1 at Gynsill against the Fourth team.

The Men’s First team of Will Harrison and Craig Tracey, George Simpson and Ciaran Boylan and Fred Berdej with Mark Ashman lost 9-0 when they entertained Ashby Castle seconds.
