With just two weeks of the regular season remaining the League programme took a back seat on Friday as we played out the Quarter Finals of this year's KO Cup with a best of 3 legs format.

The Carington derby at Melton British Legion went in favour of a resurgent Carington Cons side who won for the third successive week as they comprehensively outpointed a below par Carington Arms side.

Cons comfortably took the opening leg and, after being asked to chase down just 18 in the 2nd leg, the game was quickly put to bed to secure the 2-0 victory.

Queniborough Wanderers put home advantage to good use with a comprehensive victory over visiting Sileby WMC. The visitors were never able to get in a blow to the home sides opening leg of 30 and floundered in the 2nd leg after setting just 18. It was, however, still left to last man Colin Pembleton to hit the winning pins for Queniborough and wrap up the 2-0 win.

Syston Cons B travelled across the road to the Syston Social Club and came away with a closely fought 2-0 win. After Chris Buxton's 7 secured a last gasp win for the visitors by just one pin in the opening leg the Social side struggled to replicate their excellent recent home form and came up well short of their target in the 2nd leg to hand Syston Cons the victory.

In the only game of the night that went to 3 legs, Wymeswold Cons ultimately came out on top in a tricky fixture away at Top House. The home side took a surprise lead after the opening leg as Wymeswold struggled for consistency in their reply.

However, two solid legs of 32 proved too much for the home side and Wymeswold progressed to the semi-finals with a 2-1 victory. Wymeswold's Darren Wagg was the top scorer with 22 across the three legs while we also saw two 9's on the night for Brian Holmes of Top House and Gaz Williamson of Wymeswold.

Qualifiers : Carington Cons, Syston Cons B, Queniborough Wanderers & Wymeswold Cons

The draw for the semi-finals will take place at the Committee Meeting on Thursday 12th March. These games will be played at neutral venues on Friday 10th April.
