Hide AdRay Beal and G. Forbes, of Belton Woods, were second on countback from Brian Ayto and P. Cunniffe, of The Nottinghamshire.
The fourth and fifth-place pairs also scored 42 with Keith Dugmore and P. Toon of Rufford Park, winners on each of the past two years, pipping Mike Graves and J. Hall, of Burton on Trent, for fourth spot.
Nearest the pin for the visitors was David Thornton (Melton) at the 12th hole, and Colin Howett took the prize for the home players on the seventh.
* Brian White won this year’s Senior Trophy with an aggregate score of 115 points accrued from his best three rounds of six.

Hide AdGraham Manton provided a last-minute challenge with a final day score of 41 to secure a valiant second place with 113 points, while last year’s winner Barry Mitchell finished with a solid 112.
A total of 66 players took part and the competition remains a firm favourite within the seniors section.
* Despite the rain and the best efforts of the captain, Stoke Seniors completed their first win double of the season against Peterborough Milton.
They won their penultimate home match of the season by a five-point margin.
