Carter turns on the style for win

Neil Carter had an impressive run in the latest competition at Jackson’s snooker lounge.

He sailed through every round of the handicapped knockout contest without dropping a frame, beating Josh Ainge 2-0, Mike Jackson 2-0 and Charlie Coxson 3-0.

Waiting for him in the final was Ben Jackson, who had beaten Graham Hancock 2-1 and the last contest winner Karl Barratt 3-1.

Both finalists had never progressed past their first match in previous competitions, and it was Neil who proved to be unstoppable as he put in another great performance to win 4-0 to take the prize money. Rob Petch won the prize for the highest break.

The next competition is on Saturday, September 26, starting at 10am and is open to non-members as well as members. Entry is £5 and the loser pays for the table.

There are cash prizes for first and second places and for the highest break.
