Villagers enjoy Halloween event at Waltham parish church
Villagers at Waltham-on-the-Wolds enjoyed some Halloween fun with the return of the Starlight Night Party after a six-year break.
A total of 35 children and 58 adults gathered at the village parish church for what was 12th such party.
The evening raised an impressive £405, which will be shared between Waltham Primary School and Pre-school, helping to support local children and their activities.
A spokesperson for the organisers said: “Thanks go to everyone who helped make the evening such a success, whether by donating chocolate and raffle prizes, buying tickets, lending a hand on the night or helping with the organisation.
“Your generosity, enthusiasm and support were very much appreciated.
"It was wonderful to see the community come together, and we hope this marks the start of many more successful Starlight celebrations to come.”
Organisers have thanked Boyes, Sainsbury’s, Sudha at Waltham on the Wolds Post Office, plus Waltham Parish Council, for their invaluable assistance and contributions.
