Melton Times Sports 2016 are go - nominate your stars

An addition to this year is the new Cricketer of the Year award in recogntiion of the strength of the sport in our borough.

So we would like to hear from our local clubs about their top bastmen and bowlers.

You have until midnight on Monday, May 30 to submit your nominations by filling in the coupon on page 70 of this week’s Melton Times or emailing them to [email protected] along with a jpeg photo where possible.

Please state category, name of nominee, your name and full reasons and list of achievements for why they deserve to win.

Judges will then make a shortlist of three finalists for each award and decide the winner.

The winners will be unveiled at our awards night on Thursday, June 30 which will once again be hosted by professional TV broadcaster Ivan Gaskell.

With the Rio games just around the corner, we hope to be joined by a few Olympic and Paralympic special guests.
