Vose in first place at latest round of the Seniors’ Trophy

Round four of Stoke Rochford Seniors’ Trophy was played with a total of 48 participating.

The winner with 44 points was Chris Vose, followed in second place by Alan Church with 41 point and Keith Eddy (39 points) who was third.

With one round left to play on Wednesday the leaders are Alan Church with 151 points, Barry Mitchell with 138 points and John Martindale with 133 points.

The Seniors’ Autumn Cup was played in good weather with a total of 42 players, Alan Dolby winning with 40 points on countback, ahead of Keith Dugmore (40) and Colin Howett (39 cb). Alan previously won this Cup in 2006 and 2011, becoming only the second person to win it three times, following on from Mal Phillips.

The Seniors’ Singles Knockout has reached the semi-final. Glyn Staines will plays Seniors Captain Mike Thornton and Mike Nixon will face Barry Coop.

There was a nail-biting conclusion to the Seniors Pairs Knockout final, which was decided on extra holes.

John Hitchman and Ray Elsome were one up playing the 18th and within grasp of the trophy when Adrian Stannard sank a long putt, going on to win with partner Darrell Knight.
