Twelve ladies braved the cold and windy weather to play in the Joy Vase at Stoke Rochford GC.

The team of four, two from four better ball stableford was won by Sheila Dugmore, Amanda Lewis, Debbie Tomblyn-Jones and Marion Carvath with a score of 77.

Saturday's Captain versus Vice Captain four ball better ball match play saw eight pairs compete.

The weather was very wet to begin with, but soon dried up to a sunny day.

Normally the losing team buy toasted tea cakes but, with social distancing in place, it was decided that the losing pair form each team buy the tea cake.

Winners were the Vice Captain's team, 2.5-1.5.

Stoke Rochford Seniors played the first of eight rounds of their Summer Trophy competition.

The individual stableford saw 47 seniors participate, Andrew Edwards winning with 37 points on countback.

Glyn (37) was second with John Martindale (36) third.

Round two is on May 19.
