John Webster’s side had been due to meet Heather St John’s on Tuesday evening at Aylestone Park’s Saffron Lane ground.

But an afternoon inspection by the match referee deemed the pitch unfit after several days of rain.

A new date for the re-arranged semi-final had yet to be confirmed at the time of writing.

The winners will meet Leicester Road in the final at Holmes Park on Tuesday, May 2.

After a blank weekend in the fixture schedule, Holwell are back in East Midlands Counties League action on Saturday when they travel to Belper United (kick-off 3pm).

A run of four wins from their last five matches have lifted Holwell up to 11th in the league and in sight of a top 10 finish.
Goals have also been coming thick and fast of late for the Asfordby Hill side who have found the net 18 times in this sequence, including a 7-1 thumping of bottom side Ellistown last time out.

Belper, meanwhile, are 16th, but are also in good form, having lost just twice in their last seven outings and won 5-2 at improving Greenwood Meadows on Saturday.

The Derbyshire side also won the reverse fixture back in October when goals from Tim Perry and Sam Vickers gave them a 2-0 win at Welby Road.
