Asfordby’s involvement in the supplementary cup competitions got off to the best possible start - the senior sides recording two wins.

The first team travelled to Cottesmore AFC Development for their first competitive fixture since the re-start of action.

Taking a 3-0 lead into half time, the long break from football started to have an effect on the players part way through the second half.

Asfordby held onto their clean sheet and added a fourth before the final whistle giving them a good win.

Asfordby Development got their re-start off to winning ways with a 3-1 win at home to Sutton Bonington Reserves in a game that was won and lost in midfield.

All of Asfordby’s youth teams were in action across the weekend with some brilliant football being played and all the young players enjoying being back.

The U15s Colts won 6-1 at home to Borough Alliance Juniors, the U14s Eagles beat Kegworth Imps 1-0 at home and the U14s Falcons continued their difficult restart with a 5-0 loss away against West Bridgford Colts.
