If you want to know the best places to go in the UK then the National Pub and Bar Awards have just announced the 94 county winning pubs - and five of them are in the East Midlands.

The winners are judged on overall retail excellence, best practice and individual entrepreneurship.

This year The Cock Inn at Mugginton, an historic pub which was completely redeveloped and reopened in recent years, and The Tollemache Arms in Northamptonshire, a welcoming 19th century establishment in the village of Buckminster, are among the pubs featured in the awards.

We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been named BEST pub in Derbyshire by the National @PubandBarAwards! 🙌🏼🍾🎉
