Temporary lights causing Melton traffic delays
Motorists are being alerted to long road delays in Melton this morning (Thursday) due to temporary traffic lights being set up.
The four-way lights are installed on Nottingham Road, at the junction with Sainsbury’s, to enable work teams to attend to a leak.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible with queuing cars currently stretching back to the busy junction with Asfordby Road, Wilton Road and Park Road and in the other direction heading into town along the Nottingham Road.
Area Traffic Control, which monitors county roads, Tweeted a few moments ago: “Nottingham Road already very slow through this stretch.
“Strongly advise to avoid if possible.”
