Residents and business owners urged to have a say on update to Melton's Local Plan
Residents and business owners are invited to have their say on a strategy which helps guide decisions new homes, employment land, climate change, health facilities and infrastructure across the Melton borough.
Feedback is required by Melton Borough Council on the proposed changes to the Melton Local Plan Partial Update.

The council has been reviewing and updating the current Local Plan to ensure it continues to meet the needs of local communities and reflects changes in national planning policy and guidance.
The partial update has now reached the final consultation stage before it can be formally adopted, and people are being asked to comment on a series of proposed changes known as Main Modifications.
These are changes proposed by the independent Planning Inspectors through the examination process to ensure the plan is sound and legally compliant.
This is expected to be the last stage of the examination process before the Inspectors write their final report that will allow the council to formally consider adopting the partially updated Plan.
Councillor Don Pritchett, portfolio holder for planning policy, economic growth and town centre, said: “The partially updated Melton Local Plan sets out our vision for how the borough will grow and develop over the coming years.
"As part of this process, we are inviting residents, businesses and stakeholders to review the proposed Main Modifications and tell us what they think.
“Hearing from our communities is an important part of the process, and we welcome everyone with an interest in the future of the borough to get involved.
"All representations received will be considered by the independent Planning Inspectors before they issue their final report, helping to ensure the Local Plan reflects the needs and aspirations of our communities."
The consultation will run until 11.59pm on Monday December 14.
