Brett Barnard is to be ‘the face’ of the high profile sales campaign launched by his employer, Wiltshire Farm Foods.

The promotion drive has just been launched and, says the company, aims to bring sunshine to its customers’ lives with its traditional delivery service and its range of frozen foods.

The advert is set to the popular tune ‘Bring Me Sunshine’.

The opportunity to take part was eagerly taken up by Brett and is the second year a Melton resident has featured in the company’s ads.

He said: “I know Paul who was in last year’s advert and he said how much he enjoyed it, so I thought I’d enter this year, as the part didn’t involve any speaking and I’m a good whistler.

“It’s been a great experience.

“We’ve been using a rain machine, so I got wet a few times. It didn’t take too many takes so I must be a natural.”

Telling his customers about the advert has made him something of a celebrity in the area with some even asking for his autograph:

He said: “They’re excited to see me on the television.

“It’s surprised me how many people have to be involved in a process like this behind the scenes - it’s certainly been eye-opening.”

Wiltshire Farm Foods is a franchise operated business with Brett based at the Loughborough branch, managed by Suzie Leeson and Rob Stanton.

Suzie said: “This is the second year one of our drivers has featured in the advert, which makes us very proud.”

The Loughborough branch delivers to 1,700 customers covering Melton Mowbray, Rutland, Loughborough, Ashby de la Zouch, through to Derby and Ashbourne.
