A young brother and sister from Long Clawson have been inspired by the remarkable efforts of 99-year-old Captain Tom Moore to raise hundreds of pounds for the NHS.

Isabel Adkins (10) and eight-year-old Charlie wanted to do their bit to help frontline medical staff during the Covid-19 crisis after watching a television report showing Captain Moore raising millions of pounds for the NHS by doing laps of his home using a mobility walker.

They decidied to attempt to jump 20,000 times on a pogo stick in just seven days and they have already raised £325 after getting halfway to their target number of jumps.

The latest update on their blog says: “Day 3, we have managed 3,294 jumps today despite the heat and a couple of pogo injuries!

“That’s a total of 10,126 jumps so we’re now half-way.

“A personal email of support from our MP, Alicia Kearns, really spurred us on!
