Instead of the usual coffee morning at Long Clawson Methodist Church on Thursday, March 16, it was decided there would be a 'Bake for Red Nose Day.'

There were lots of delicious cakes and scones made by the ladies who normally attend the coffee morning.

Helping on the day, Deborah Mason, said: “Refreshments were served and donations were given for the cakes.

“The event was advertised in the local Clawson Clarion but unfortunately only around 20 adults and five children attended. However, those who came enjoyed themselves and altogether we collected an impressive £100 which will be sent to the Red Nose charity.

“A massive thank you to all the lovely ladies who baked and to all those who came to buy and eat the cakes!”
