Firefighters tackle sheds blaze in Syston

Firefighters were alerted on Saturday night after two sheds caught fire in the back garden of a house in Syston.

A crew from Birstall attended the incident, at 6.07pm, in which both sheds suffered 100 per cent fire damage.

A neighbouring property at the scene, in St Columba Way, also sustained heat damage.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two sheds were involved in fire. Two hose reels were used to tackle the fire and 7.04pm the fire was confirmed as extinguished. It was believed to have been caused by accident.”
