Ratcliffe College GCSE students achieve well above national average grades
More than 40 per cent of all grades awarded to GCSE students at Ratcliffe College this year were between sevens and nines, with nine being the highest possible.
Year 11 students and staff came together to receive their results and celebrate the remarkable achievements of the 2026 cohort.

The college say their students continue to significantly outperform their peers in the maintained sector, with the number of passes at grade seven or above in many subjects twice the national average.
Among the highest achievers was John Bowden, who attained an impressive 10 grade nines and one grade eight, while Ben Kay secured an outstanding nine grade nines and two eights.
Romilly Ellis and Daisy Hailes also deserve special recognition for achieving results consisting entirely of the highest grades, nines and eights.
On this year’s cohort, headmaster, Jonathan Reddin, commented: "We are delighted to see their hard work rewarded and are grateful to our teachers and parents for the guidance and encouragement they have provided throughout the journey.
“Beyond the grades themselves, these young people have demonstrated remarkable character, maturity and commitment, qualities that will serve them well in the years ahead.
"We congratulate every student on their individual achievements and look forward to supporting many of them as they continue their educational journey in our thriving sixth form.”
The college also highlighted the GCSE achievements of Natalie Bogus, Lucy Markham, Odera Munonyedi, Jia Popat, Hannah Simon and James Spencer, whose consistently excellent performances saw them achieve a commendable suite of grades at seven and above.
