Motorcyclists invited to register for this year's Claire Lomas Memorial Rideout

Motorcyclists are invited to register for this year’s Claire Lomas Memorial Rideout.

This popular annual event was started by Claire as part of her inspirational fundraising drive after she was left paralysed from the chest down in a horse riding accident in 2007.

Claire passed away nearly two years ago having raised more than £950k for causes close to her heart and husband, Dan, and friend, Stuart ‘Pid’ Hall, have taken her total over £1M with their own fundraisers.

She always enjoyed the community spirit of the Rideout challenge, which this year takes place on Sunday September 6.

Participants on motorbikes and mopeds will set off at 11am from Wistow Rural Centre and finish around 1.15pm at Eye Kettleby Lakes.

They will pass through Market Harborough, Rockingham, Uppingham, Oakham and Melton Mowbray on the way.

Friends, family and residents are welcome to go to the finish, when cakes, snacks, ice cream and drinks will be served.
