The new fundraising challenge is open to anyone based in the East Midlands and the aim is to raise funds and awareness for Parkinson's UK in the process.

Parkinson’s Tri Day is a new free event to help raise awareness for people living with Parkinson’s in the East Midlands. Delivered by experienced instructors from Inspire2Tri, local people living with Parkinson’s are encouraged to take part in the event in April.

When: Sunday 19 April 2026

Where: Inspire2Tri, The Studio & Pool Barn, St Marys Road, Manton, Oakham Rutland, LE15 8SU

Supported by Parkinson’s UK and delivered by the experienced team from Inspire2Tri, the challenge takes place in the centre's Endless Pool, which includes underwater treadmills, bikes and swimming facilities for people with Parkinson’s.

A range of activities will take place during the weekend, ranging from swimming and running, to balance and strength challenges in the water.

Who can take part?

The challenge will involve a range of water and gym-based activities and all Parkinson’s participants will need to have good-to-moderate mobility and stability levels in the water, and be comfortable taking part in activities throughout the weekend.

Regular breaks will be available and all participants are encouraged to bring activewear suitable for water-based activities. Some activities may be higher intensity than others, so all participants are encouraged to only do what they are comfortable or able to do in the water.

Expressions of Interest are now open on the Inspire2Tri website https://www.inspire2tri.com/parkinsonform
