Church and new hall to host expanded Christmas wreath festival and craft fair
An expanded two-day Christmas Wreath Festival and Festive Craft Fair will be held this festive season in Melton Mowbray.
The new community hall, opened earlier this year, will help to host the event as well as the adjacent St John’s Catholic Church on Thorpe End over the weekend of November 28 and 29.

The beautiful, historic Victorian church will house the annual wreath festival, showcasing uniquely decorated wreaths created by groups and individuals from the local community.
Adults, children, businesses and groups, schools and nurseries are warmly encouraged to take part with visitors invited to vote for their favourite display in the People's Choice Award.
Admission to the wreath festival in the church is free and next door the spacious new hall will host a bustling craft and gift fair, with a wide variety of local stallholders.
Open from 10am to 4pm on both days, the fair offers a prime opportunity to find unique Christmas gifts – admission costs £1.
The hall will also serve as the festival's hospitality hub, serving festive refreshments throughout the weekend, alongside a grand raffle and traditional small games.
On the Saturday morning, visitors can enjoy live festive music as the church choir performs classic Christmas carols at 12.30pm, with everyone in attendance warmly invited to sing along.
To accommodate weekend church services, the wreath festival inside the church will run from 11am to 4pm on both days, while the craft and gift fair inside the hall opens early at 10am and runs until 4pm.
