Award for Melton Building Society for its link with local debt charity
The team at Melton Building Society (MBS) is celebrating winning a prestigious industry award for its link-up with a local debt charity.
The business, which is headquartered on Leicester Road in Melton Mowbray, was recognised at the prestigious 2026 MoneyAge Awards.

It won the Best Charity Partnership award for its partnership with Melton and District Money Advice Centre (MADMAC.
And the society was also delighted to be nominated for Mortgage Provider of the Year.
MBS has partnered with MADMAC since 2022, providing vital funding to help the charity deliver free financial education to schools, colleges and businesses across the local community.
The partnership was formed through a shared ambition to improve financial capability and resilience.
Funding from the society has enabled MADMAC to employ a qualified financial coach to deliver education sessions across Leicestershire, with the initiative reaching more than 30,000 people since the link began.
Through workshops, assemblies and educational sessions, the partnership supports people of all ages, including primary school children, with practical knowledge and tools to help them better understand and manage their finances.
The initiative reached an important milestone in 2024 when 10,000 people had participated across the region.
