Waltham's first mid-winter Ceilidh
Waltham held its first Village Mid-Winter Ceilidh on Saturday evening. It was a joint initiative between the Village Hall, trying to encourage its use by villagers, and members of the Waltham Scottish Country Dance Group who dance on Thursday evenings in the hall and are on the lookout for more locals to join.

Waltham held its first Village Mid-Winter Ceilidh on Saturday evening. Live music from Iain and Russell on accordion and drums kept the dancers moving. Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant and many other ceilidh dances we all called and the Village Hall provided drinks and hotdogs during the interval. The lively music continued with more reels and jigs, and the fun evening finished with Auld Lang Syne.
Anyone interested in the dancing can contact John Aitken 07770 428103 for more details.
