Third annual Rempstone Village Show opens its doors to exhibitors

The green fingered, the artistic and the creative will all be catered for in classes at the third annual Rempstone Village Show next Sunday (September 11).

The event at the village hall from 10.30am to 4.30pm will feature traditional flower and produce categories of the longest bean and heaviest marrow and extend to photography, art, cake decorating and flower arranging. There will even be an open class for a LEGO model.

Entries are welcome from people who live in Rempstone and anyone else who is interested in taking part. Details of the classes are available on the website at www.rempstonevillage.org.uk

Winners are chosen by popular vote and the entrance fee of £1 for anyone over 11 years of age on the day will include a voting form. Those who are over three and 11 or under will get a form free also.

Rempstone Village Hall is well known for producing very good food. Bacon cobs will be served as well as elevenses, lunches and afternoon teas. There will also be a bar serving a selection of hot and cold drinks including Pimm’s and Prosecco.

The Church of All Saints Rempstone will be running a cake and produce stall and the village hall a tombola. Any profit from the afternoon will be shared between the two.
